我和团部张翻译官共同谱此曲调, 张君不幸因车祸于一个月后丧生,让我永生难忘。
我于1950年10月以此曲提出参加台北中央广播电台 抗日战争军歌比赛,
此曲被评选为中国驻印度远征军唯一军歌佳作。
